Equip Abilities

Items can trigger abilities when equipped: In ItemDataAsset:
Equip Ability: GA_EquipSword
Unequip Ability: GA_UnequipSword
When item is equipped:
  1. EquipAbility is activated
  2. Ability can play animations, apply effects, etc.
When item is unequipped:
  1. UnequipAbility is activated
  2. Cleanup logic runs

Passive Abilities

Items can grant passive abilities while equipped: In ItemDataAsset:
Passive Ability: GA_SwordMastery
Remove Ability: GA_SwordMastery
  • PassiveAbility: Granted when equipped
  • RemoveAbility: Removed when unequipped
